COVID-19 Efforts

Bloomberry Foundation donates over PHP600M to COVID-19 Response  




Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Bloomberry Resort & Hotel, Inc. (BRHI), operator of Solaire Resort & Casino, has been actively providing assistance to government efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.  It has procured medical supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE), retrofitted facilities to become treatment facilities, and distributed relief goods and supplies.  Up to 15 April 2020, BCFI has donated over P600 million for these efforts.



Medical supplies and PPEs (P470 million)


BCFI has procured medical supplies and PPEs and is distributing these to various government hospitals in the National Capital Region and nearby provinces, including Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) hospitals.  These include:


  • 155,160 pieces of N95 facemasks
  • 110,000 pieces of Hazmats
  • 100,000 pieces of goggles
  • 432,400 pieces of shoe protection
  • 355,000 sets of test kits


BCFI also purchased medical equipment to specifically address the needs of hospitals: 

  • 3 sets of PCR System
  • 10 sets of ventilators
  • 2 biological safety cabinets



These medical supplies and equipment are being distributed to:  Philippine General Hospital, Philippine Lung Center, Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, National Center for Mental Health, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Fe del Mundo Medical Center, Philippine Heart Center, East Avenue Medical Center, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, Pasig Hospital, Dr. Jose Rodriguez Hospital, Caloocan City North Medical Center, Caloocan City South Medical Center and Dasmariñas City Hospital. 


Some supplies were also delivered to other frontliners like the members of the Philippine National Police (SAF/Pasay City Police) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP Health Service Command) and retrofitted facilities including the Ninoy Aquino Stadium and Rizal Memorial Stadium. 






Retrofitting of facilities (P35 million)


In coordination with the Inter-Agency-Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Department of Health, BCFI converted common areas in the Ninoy Aquino Stadium within the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex into a COVID-19 treatment facility.  The facility includes 224 beds with partition walls for patients, two nurses’ stations, and furniture.

BCFI, in cooperation with DMCI, also retrofitted a unit of the Philippine General Hospital into a treatment facility.

Both facilities are now operational.





Relief operation (P100 million)


BCFI also procured and donated P100 million worth of relief goods for the feeding program of the Office of the President.    



Preparing to restart


Our team continues to prepare for our eventual reopening. At this time, all our team members are undergoing a screening process that involves an interview and COVID-19 testing. We are doing this to ensure that all the employees we allow to return to work are healthy and in the best shape to provide our outstanding signature service.
